The City of Winchester is seeking applicants for full time Neighborhood Revitalization Director to lead, plan, and coordinate the activities of the Office of Housing and Neighborhood Development (OHND). The chosen candidate will manage affordable housing and neighborhood revitalization programs including but not limited to the Housing Choice Voucher, Home Repair, Homeownership Assistance, Spot Blight Abatement and Neighborhood Revitalization/Coordination Programs. Experience in grant writing and administration; the development and updating of comprehensive development plans; housing programs administration; and following federal regulations in the application and acceptance of funds are all desirable qualities. The successful candidate will advise the City Manager, City Council, Boards, Commissions, and City departments on housing issues and priorities, as well as neighborhood revitalization and preservation matters, while providing statistical and anecdotal information relevant to the community, in addition to preparing the Community Development Committee agenda. Must possess the ability to establish effective working relationships with City officials, outside agencies and stakeholders, and the public. A Bachelor’s degree in public or business administration, human services, or related field with major work in urban planning, public administration, sociology or related field, and some experience in a professional or technical position providing exposure to the planning and funding activities related to community development is required. A Master’s degree is preferred. |

Supervises residents in daily activities; administers medication, first-aid; maintains discipline; employs basic counseling skills.
