Sr. Network Engineer

The City of Winchester is seeking applicants for full time Senior Network Engineer to join its dynamic and innovative Information Technology department. The selected candidate designs, specifies, installs, configures, maintains, troubleshoots and repairs local and wide area network routing and switching and computer system hardware/software; manages sensitive information; assists in developing and implementing disaster recovery and system-wide backup plans; supervises technical support staff; and assists the Information Technology Director with needs analysis, planning, procurement and implementation of technology systems. Bachelor's Degree in technology field required. Must have significant experience in the design, installation, configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of large scale local and wide area networks supporting voice, video and data; as well as significant experience with Windows based server software including Active Directory and Exchange. Familiarity with the IBM iSeries 400 (i5) system and application software a plus. Supervisory experience preferred. Certification (MCSE, CISCO CCNA, etc) desired. We are seeking applicants for part time Travel Counselor position to work approximately 15 hours per week as needed. One weekend day and some holiday hours required. The Social Worker provides and coordinates foster care prevention services to court-involved youth. Responsible for developing Individual and Family Service Plans, in accordance with Systems of Care and Family Team Decision Making principles. Connects families with needed resources and works collaboratively with formal and informal community supports. Interprets complex policies, laws, and regulations. Testifies, as needed, in court proceedings. Participates in multi-disciplinary meetings and projects to improve community responses to at-risk youth. Experience in the practice of social work, preferably in child protective and foster care field. Possession of a Bachelors Degree in a human services related field required. Must have a working knowledge of social work principles, preferably with Systems of Care and Family Team Decision Making emphasis. Must be able to make and implement case decisions. Effectively communicate both orally and in written form; and produce timely and accurate case documentation, reports, and court filings. Must be willing to work in a community emergency shelter in the event of natural disaster or emergency. Must have a valid driver's license and safe driving record. Final applicants must successfully pass criminal background check and pre- employment drug screen and physical. Must also submit to a Child Protective Services Central Registry Search. Salary range: $16.57/hr-$25.19/hr.

The City of Winchester is seeking applicants for full time male Detention Specialist I at the Regional Juvenile Detention Center. Provides primary security, care, and custody of detained residents. Supervises residents in daily activities; administers medication, first-aid; maintains discipline; employs basic counseling skills. Requires ability to work positively and effectively with maladjusted youth; working knowledge of psychological and emotional problems of socially maladjusted youth. Must be able to successfully complete physical restraint training, CPR, and First Aid. Requires ability to participate in large muscle physical activities; excellent writing and verbal skills; valid drivers license.
