At the February meeting of the Winchester Economic Development Authority (EDA) held today, the Winchester EDA voted unanimously to extend the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for redevelopment of the corner of Cameron and Piccadilly Streets (former Winchester Towers site) with Lynx Ventures, LLC for a period of 60 days. The extension of the MOU serves to provide additional time for working through project details as well as negotiations with adjacent property owners.
“The progress that has been made by Lynx over the past few months has been significant and their vision for the site is one that would be a transformational investment into our downtown,” stated Development Services Director Shawn Hershberger. “The MOU extension will provide more time to work through this effort.”
“We’re enthusiastic about the Winchester market today and moving into the future. We hope to be able to provide a high-quality product for downtown Winchester and be a part of the continuing growth of this area,” stated Richard Gregory of Lynx Ventures.
