International Children's Festival

International Children's Festival

Winchester's International Children’s Festival was created in 2009 to celebrate the area’s diverse youth population. This fun and educational festival includes a long list of cultural entertainers, interactive exhibits representing countries from around the world, and an international food court. At the inaugural festival in 2009, between 1,500 and 2,000 people took a trip around the world to 20 different and amazing countries.  In 2010, the number of travelers grew to approximately 2,500! And due to the unusually cold and wet weather, the 2011 Festival was moved inside and over 1,500 took the trip.  THANK YOU to our generous sponsors that have been with us since the beginning: Blue Ridge Kiwanis, T.D. Clayton State Farm Insurance, Winchester Public Schools, Kraft Foods, Coalition for Racial Unity, Kohn’s, and Piccadilly Printers.

A portion of the net proceeds will be donated to the Winchester Parks Foundation for the park scholarship fund (Over $4,700
since 2009)
