An Overview of the Enforcement Process
- When a complaint is received, an Inspector investigates the premises.
- If a violation is found, the Inspector notifies the responsible party and establishes a date for compliance.
- After the compliance date, a second inspection is made. If the violation still exists, a second notice may be issued and a second compliance date is set.
- Alternatively, the case may be referred to the City Attorney for legal proceedings.
