New Construction - Re-Roofing / Re-Siding Permits
The Following Information is Required for all Building Permit Applications for Re-Roofing and Re-Siding Permits
Residential:
As of September 15, 2000, permits are not required for the replacement of roof coverings and installation or replacement siding materials on Use group R-4, single-family dwellings.
(Note: Board of Architectural Review approval, of roof covering and siding materials is required for houses located in the Citys Historical District.)
Commercial:
Permits are required for the replacement of roof coverings and installation or replacement of siding materials on all structures other than R-4 single-family dwellings.
The following information is required for a permit:
- Address of project.
- Owner's name.
- Completed Asbestos Regulations Compliance Form. Click here for form.
- If work is contracted, a valid Virginia State Contractors License and City Business License.
