The Office of Housing and Neighborhood Development was officially opened in November, 2005. This newly formed office was created to serve as the main point of contact on issues of Housing, Neighborhood Development, and Community Outreach.
This office is charged with managing the Community Development Block Grant program, the Housing Choice Voucher program, the Spot Blight Abatement program, the Housing and Community Resource Center, and most recently developing private-public partnerships that will continue to meet the housing and neighborhood needs of our community.
"We are all working hard together to lead the charge in making our community home. It is our mission to facilitate the creation and development of safe, decent and accessible housing. We promote opportunities for self-sufficiency and self-improvement. And, we encourage participation in building stable, thriving neighborhoods that collectively make our community better."
