CDBG-R Stimulus Funds

The City of Winchester received notification from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development that it is eligible to receive $68,076 in Community Development Block Grant-Recovery funding under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.

In order to receive this funding, the City must prepare a substantial amendment that is to be submitted to HUD on June 5, 2009. The public is invited to provide comment on the substantial amendment which will available for review and comment May 19-26, 2009.

Final comments must be received no later than 12 noon on May 26, 2009. In addition, citizens wishing to provide public input directly to City Council are invited to attend the City Council session on May 26, 2009 where City Council will be voting on the approval of the substantial amendment.

A copy of the Substantial Amendment is available at Rouss City Hall, City Manager's Office or you can download the Substantial Amendment.  Public comment may be submitted to the City Manager.
