George Washington’s Office Museum is located at the corner of Braddock and Cork Streets in Winchester.  This small log cabin, between September 1755 and December 1756, is where George Washington kept an office while he supervised the construction of Fort Loudoun. Stonewall Jackson’s Headquarters Museum is located at 415 North Braddock Street in Winchester.  This home served briefly as General Jackson’s headquarters during the Valley Campaign of the Civil War from 1861 to 1862.  Along with General Jackson, noted Confederate officer, Turner Ashby, and cartographer, Jed Hotchkiss, organized their battle plans in these rooms.  The hours of operation are Monday – Saturday 10 am to 4 pm, Sunday noon to 4 pm.  For more information call (540) 667-3242 or visit www.winchesterhistory.org
