The City of Winchester’s Open Data Portal is now available for the public to search, download, and explore the City’s Geographic Information Systems (GIS) data. Datasets and mapping applications available on the site include:

  • Administrative
  • Education
  • Environment
  • Parks & Recreation
  • Planning & Zoning
  • Property & Land
  • Public Safety
  • Public Services
  • Transportation
  • Tax Parcel, Zoning District, Enterprise Zone, Voting District, and Public Schools Mapping
  • Property Search Application, Utilities Mapping, Floodplain Mapping and more

“Promoting a culture of innovation, efficiency, and transparency is a major pillar of the City’s strategic plan, so it was important to create a portal where residents could access all of the City’s GIS data instantly,”  stated GIS Coordinator Annie Cahill. “Winchester is one of the first cities in the region to establish a GIS-based Open Data portal. The portal provides a much more efficient end-user experience, and residents will no longer need to contact us or put in a request for the information.”

The GIS Open Data Portal precedes the OpenGov Data search tool that will be released soon. The portal can be found online at this link or on the GIS homepage at
