The City of Winchester’s popular informational calendar is expected to be distributed to all 22601 residences the week of December 16, 2019. The 2020 calendar contains useful information such as the City’s meeting calendar, refuse/recycling collection changes, events, contact information, and descriptions of each City department or office. The calendar also includes information regarding how to stay informed about local government services, programs, events and more. The photos featured in the calendar were submitted by area residents or visitors during the City’s annual photo contest.
“Many local residents have called recently to ask when the calendar will be ready,” stated Communications Director Amy Simmons. “City residents have begun to rely on all the information included in the calendar each year and we’re happy to provide them. The calendar provides a convenient way to keep residents informed while featuring unique photos of our beautiful city.”
Calendars will also be available for pick up at the following locations beginning Wednesday, December 18 (while supplies last):
- War Memorial Building, Jim Barnett Park, 1001 E. Cork Street (Open: M-F 5:30 am-9:30 pm, SA 9:00 am-6:00 pm and SU Noon-6:00 pm)
- Old Town Welcome Center, 33 E. Boscawen Street (Open: M-SA, 8:00 am-5:00 pm)
- Winchester-Frederick County Visitors Center, 1400 S. Pleasant Valley Road (Open: Every day, 9:00 am-5:00 pm)
- Rouss City Hall, 15 N. Cameron Street (Open: M-F, 8:00 am-5:00 pm)

NEW Contest in 2020: For the 2021 calendar, we will be accepting both photos and original artwork entries during the annual contest. Deadline for entries will be in October 2020. More details will be posted soon on the above web page.
