Madelyn Rodriguez has lived in Winchester for over 30 years and of those over 20 have been in the Fourth Ward where she resides with her 2 daughters who attend WPS and her spouse. Originally from Lancaster, Pennsylvania and of Mexican and Puertorican heritage, Mady is fluent in both English and Spanish. Her community involvement directly with the Latino community has afforded her opportunities to learn about the barriers/challenges in such population as well as the understanding of the culture. Mady is currently the President of the Winchester Education Foundation, Co-Advisor to Opportunity Scholars, as well as board member to Arte Libre of VA, I’m Just Me mentoring and the Family Day committee. She is a proud product of Winchester Public Schools (WPS), attended LFCC, ODU and received a Masters in Human Services from Walden University. She considers it an honor to serve this community.
