Mr. Clark was elected to the Common Council in 2006 and re-elected in 2010. Mr. Clark received a Bachelor’s degree from James Madison University and a Master’s degree in Social Work from Radford University.

Mr. Hill retired as a Case Coordinator with Timber Ridge School. He was first elected to the Common Council in 2008 and voted Vice-Mayor in 2018. Mr. Hill graduated from Winston-Salem State University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, with a Bachelor’s degree in History (major) and Sociology (minor). Mr. Hill also graduated from George Mason University with a Master’s degree in Counseling.
Since 2018, Vice-Mayor Hill has held community meetings to provide information and answer questions about various topics:
- Four meetings in 2018-2019 discussing City utility infrastructure (sidewalks, water/sewer/stormwater, roads) and capital projects
- Four meetings in 2019-2020 discussing development services (economic development, planning, zoning and inspections)
- Eight meetings in 2020 in partnership with Councilor Kim Herbstritt discussing various topics
