During each session, a brief overview of the Comprehensive Plan update process as well as the major highlights of the current Plan will be presented. Also presented will be a brief demographic overview and the preliminary findings of the “Shaping Winchester” Comprehensive Plan survey that the public can access via the City’s Planning Department webpage through August 10 (deadline extended).

Following the brief presentation by City staff, attendees will have the opportunity to share their thoughts and suggestions. Break-out group sessions will allow attendees to work as teams to identify where “change vs. preservation” of existing land uses is desired. This will be followed by presentations of key recommendations by each group (dependent upon turnout).

One session will be held in each of the City’s four wards, but it is not required for residents to attend the session in the ward in which they live. All sessions are intended to follow the same format.
