The second annual Come Out of Hibernation Day originally started with the Groundhog Day Celebration at Bowman Library, but quickly expanded into an all-day event where patrons can explore everything the library system has to offer with something for all ages. This special day is packed full of 8 different programs and activities for kids, teens, and adults, at all 3 libraries (Bowman Library, Handley Library, and Clarke County Library). The day officially kicks off with chess at Bowman Library and quickly moves into the larger crowd gatherings at 11 AM featuring the Groundhog Day Celebration, the winter reading program finale for kids and teens, and the Indoor Plant Clinic for adults – both at Bowman Library. In addition, patrons can enter a drawing at each location and have an opportunity to win a book bag stuffed with promotional items, book bucks, and more.
