Family Day

Free event and open to all. Location: Frederick Douglass Park (behind Old Douglass School, 598 N. Kent Street)

Saturday, August 6, 2022:

• Gospel Concert, 5 pm
• Concessions available (cold drinks, fresh fried fish & chicken, and more)

Sunday, August 7, 2022: 

• Family activities, 11 am-4 pm
• Basketball tournament
  • Hosted by Hood Love
  • Starts at 11 am
• Forehand Strike doubles tournament
  • Created by Winchester native, Terrell Green

• Free lunch for kids, 1 pm
• DJs will provide music throughout the day
• Live performance by the go go band Collective Measures Band
• Yard games, inflatables, abstract art paining by Arte' Libre, face painting, etc.
• Food vendors
• Kona shaved ice sno cone truck
• Resource Fair, 1-4 pm

Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets, tents, lawn chairs, etc.
