Handley Regional Library System is kicking off summer in a big way this year with their first-everCelebration in the Garden.  The event is on June 16th in the outdoor Mike Forman Rotary Reading Garden and runs 1PM to 3PM.  The celebration includes face painting, performances by the Rocknoceros – an award-winning children’s rock band - outdoor games, McGruff the Crime Dog along with the Winchester Police, and more fun surprises.  While attending the free event, kids and their families can also sign up the summer reading program, apply for a library card, and checkout materials.  The event is open to the public and takes place at the Handley Library branch in Winchester.

“We couldn’t be more excited to offer this free and fun event to the community!” says John Huddy, Library Director for Handley Regional Library System.  “Families are not going to want to miss out on the celebration of outdoor games, music, surprises and other exciting events.  The Reading Garden is going to be literally packed with things to do and this event continues our mission to provide outstanding programs to our community.  You won’t want to miss this one.”
