Handley Regional Library System will be presenting a fun celebration at the Handley Library branch in the Mike Foreman Reading Garden on August 21, 2021 at 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM for kindergarten-aged children.
Join your library for a fun day of back-to-school activities, giveaways, and more surprises as we celebrate children starting Kindergarten. Children will also be able to receive their own library card so they can start school as strong readers.
Kids and families will learn the value of the library as a source of support for school readiness and continued lifelong learning. During this event, patrons will get to rotate through multiple interactive stations to test their Pre-Kinder skills, all while celebrating who they are as they start school officially. Meet Pete the Cat as you get a library and enter for a raffle prize. Goodie bags will be provided to the first 50 kids entering Kindergarten this fall.
Station Activities will include Flower Art with Arte Libre, Interactive Photo Booth with Repeatable DJ, Balloon Twisting with Characters by Chelsea, and more.
