Loudoun Street Mile

May 31, 2021, 03:30 pm

This is the 34th annual edition of the Loudoun Street Mile which traverses Loudoun Street in Historic Old Town Winchester, Virginia. This year’s race will again serve as the Collegiate Running Association Championship race.

COVID-19 UPDATE:  Please note that we made many changes to last year’s race in order to comply with COVID regulations. We will do the same this year in an effort to insure another safe event. However, if you feel uncomfortable in a ‘live’ event of this size, or have any COVID symptoms, please do not attend. We will defer your entry to next year.

NEW FORMAT: The race will now be run in waves of approximately 25 runners each. We hope to increase the heats to groups of 50. This is will be dependent on Covid19 regulations that are in place as of race day.

The Top 25 men will run first at 9:00, followed by the Top 25 women at 9:10 The 3rd heat will be the next fastest times, men and women combined. If we are limited to 25 runners we will likely have more ‘seeded’ heats. Those will then be followed by random heats of approximately 25 people. This will allow families to run together. See full schedule below. Each heat will start 10 minutes after the preceding heat.

THERE IS ALWAYS THE POSSIBILITY THAT THE RACE COULD BE MOVED TO A NEW DATE OR CANCELED ALTOGETHER DUE TO COVID19 MANDATES. Please keep this in mind when you sign up. We will not give refunds this year but will instead defer your entry to next year.
