The Magic Lantern Theater will screen in January the critically acclaimed film documentary, “Toni Morrison: The Pieces I Am” (NR: 119 minutes). The film examines Morrison’s life and her legendary work as one of America’s premier novelists. “This moving portrait serves as a tribute as well as an often painful account of African American history” (LA Times). Rated PG-13; 119 minutes. The first screening is at the Museum of the Shenandoah Valley, 901 Amherst St., Winchester at 4:30 p.m., Sunday, January 5.
