Bond Rating
In 2013, the City achieved the highest bond rating possible (AAA) by Standard & Poor's Rating Service. A bond rating represents an unbiased assessment of the credit worthiness of an entity's debt obligation in the public financial market. The higher the rating, the stronger the borrowing power and the lower the interest rates will be for capital projects funding.
The City's AAA rating was reaffirmed in 2014, 2017, 2019 and 2020.
