The Parks and Recreation Board advises Council and Parks & Recreation staff concerning the organization and promotion of recreational, capital improvement, and maintenance programs. The board can also participate in fundraising activities.
Board members may serve two consecutive three-year terms. In the event a present Board member would resign before the expiration of their term, the new member may fill this position and complete the three year term of the departing member and then start their two consecutive three-year terms.
Board Meetings
The Board meets once a month at the War Memorial Building on the fourth Monday at 6:30 pm.
