Procession route and live stream announced for Officer Edwards funeral

The funeral for Winchester Police Officer Hunter Edwards who was killed in a single-car crash as he responded to a call on Saturday is scheduled for Friday, November 30 at 11 am. The funeral, to be held at the Winchester Church of God, is exclusive to the Edwards family, friends and acquaintances, law enforcement personnel, and authorized media representatives. Community members interested in showing their­ respects to Officer Edwards, his family and the Winchester Police Department are encouraged to do so on the procession route following the funeral. The procession is expected to begin at approximately 1 pm. Convenient parking is available at four downtown garages and several nearby lots.

The procession will start at the Winchester Church of God and end on Amherst Street at Fox Drive:

  • Route 522 toward Winchester
  • Left on N. Wyck Street
  • Right on N. Cameron Street
  • Left on E. Piccadilly Street
  • Pass the Timbrook Public Safety Center
  • Right on N. East Lane
  • Right on E. Boscawen Street
  • Left on S. Cameron Street
  • Right on Cork Street
  • Right on Stewart Street
  • Left on Amherst Street
  • End at Fox Drive

For those interested in watching the funeral ceremonies online, two separate live video streams will be available online.

  1. Funeral ceremony in the church – beginning at 10:45 am (funeral starts at 11 am)
  2. Outside ceremony to render final honors – immediately following inside ceremonies
