Reopening Information

City buildings are open to the public. Masks and social distancing is required. Please stay home and use our online services if you are sick (see below for options).

NOTE: Some office locations have changed. Click here for a list of frequently-visited offices and their location.

City Council is now meeting virtually, Watch the meetings live or on-demand using our Agenda Portal. Virtual meeting videos will not be replayed on Comcast cable ch. 6.

Open Jim Barnett Park facilities: All outdoor amenities, Rec Center, gymnasium, indoor pool (limited capacity)

Closed Park facilities: Meeting rooms, fitness room, outdoor pool (all other amenities are open with capacity limitations and social distancing requirements)

To reduce the spread of COVID-19, we encourage you to Skip the Trip and continue using online services or contacting staff by email or phone whenever possible. If you must visit a City government building, please remember to wear a mask and practice social distancing.

  • Applying for SNAP, Medicaid, TANF, energy assistance and other benefits:
    • Paper applications are now available in the cabinet outside the WDSS office during business hours
    • Completed paper applications can be returned via the dropbox located outside the main door 
    • Preferred option for applying for these benefits is by using CommonHelp (available 24/7)
  • Turning in eligibility documents or report case changes

  • New Office Lobby Procedures (24 Baker Street)
    • Only three people will be permitted in the lobby at one time

  • Housing Office (411 N. Cameron Street)
    • Closed except for appointments

Rouss City Hall

  • Enter using the main door (2nd floor) facing Cameron Street or the accessible entrance (1st floor) facing Boscawen Street
  • Do not park behind City Hall as the parking lots are no longer for government visitor use
  • Exit using the accessible entrance or the back door facing Loudoun Street
  • The 4th floor is not open to the public
