Virginia’s Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) will again release emergency allotments of benefits to eligible households this month. Benefits will be automatically loaded to recipients’ Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) cards on Wednesday, December 16.
The emergency allotments raise each household’s monthly allotment to the maximum allowable based on household size as follows:
|Household Size||Max. Monthly Allotment|
|Each addt'l person||+$153|
Note: The allotments described here are for households in the 48 contiguous states and the District of Columbia.
SNAP participants with questions related to their benefits are encouraged to contact the Winchester Department of Social Services (city residents only) or visit CommonHelp at commonhelp.virginia.gov (any VA resident) to access account information.
