City Council advances proposal for permanent closure of Boscawen St.

On January 8, 2026, City Council voted 8-0 to approve a resolution supporting the closure of Boscawen Street between Indian Alley and the exit from the parking area behind Rouss City Hall, as reflected in the design on this page.

On February 10, 2026, a public hearing will be held on an ordinance to make the closure permanent, with a vote from City Council projected for February 24, 2026.
