⏰ Set your container out for collection either the night before or by 6:00 am the day of your trash collection.

✅ Trash must be in bags and in your city-provided cart.

✅ No bag limits, but the lid must close.

Sidewalk With No Grass Median

Place the roll-off cart with the front facing the street and wheels tight against the curb, if possible. In some cases, the cart may need to be placed on the sidewalk.

 

 

 

Sidewalk With Grass Median

Place the roll-off cart with the front facing the street in the grass and close to the edge of the curb and at least four feet from trees or other obstructions.

 

 

 

Driveway With No Sidewalk

Place the roll-off cart with the front facing the street in the grass at the edge of the driveway on the opposite side of the mailbox or other obstructions.

Glass Recycling Drop-off Locations

Yard Waste

Yard waste is collected curbside city-wide on Wednesdays from March 13, 2024 to January 15, 2025, excluding holiday weeks.

  • Grass clippings, bush/plant trimmings, and leaves must be placed into open containers (i.e. small trash cans) or biodegradable PAPER lawn bags.
  • Brush and small limbs (3” max. diameter) must be cut and tied into tight bundles no longer than four feet and no larger than 18 inches in diameter.

NO: Plastic bags, containers, or bundles over 75 lbs in weight, dirt, clay or rocks, loose trimmings.

5️⃣ There is a limit of five containers, bags, or bundles that will be collected each week (except during leaf collection season: biodegradable bags must be used, and there is no limit).

🎄Christmas trees: Undecorated Christmas trees are collected curbside (weather permitting) on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, with regular yard waste.

 

Hazardous Waste

Paint, electronics such as televisions, computers, computer monitors, printers, etc., can be disposed of at the Frederick County Regional Landfill.
