Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day Weekend, the outdoor pool at Jim Barnett Park is open for summer fun including general swim, lap swim, water aerobics, and special events. Rentals are also available.

This facility includes:

• Eight 50-meter lanes in the main pool
• Six 25-yard lanes in the diving well
• Pool depth varies from 3.5 feet to 11.5 feet
• ADA chair
• 30-foot tall tube slide
• 1-meter spring board
• Zero depth entry baby pool with water feature (maximum depth 1.5 feet)

Throughout the year, the indoor pool at Jim Barnett Park is open for variety of swimming opportunities. Swim lessons and senior/therapy swim are offered year-round, while lap swim, general swim, and water aerobics are offered during the non-summer months. Rentals are available. 

This facility includes:

• Pool depth varies from 3.5 feet to 11 feet
• ADA chair
• Average water temperature is 83 degrees Fahrenheit

The indoor pool is also the home pool for John Handley High School and the Frederick County public high schools.
