Commonwealth's Attorney

The Office of the Commonwealth's Attorney is responsible for the prosecution of crimes that occur within the Winchester city limits, including all felony cases and certain misdemeanor cases. The office prosecutes cases in all three courts: Circuit, General District & Juvenile and Domestic Relations. The office provides services that support the victims and witnesses involved in these cases.

Juvenile Detention Center

The Northwestern Regional Juvenile Detention Center to provide, a safe and secure setting that offers opportunities for success and personal growth. The NRJDC provides the temporary secure care and custody of children and adolescents who cannot be served in an open setting and are referred to the NRJDC by the appropriate authorities pending juvenile court disposition or placement.
