Congratulations to the Winners of the Mayor's Excellence Awards

The City of Winchester is proud to recognize the recipients of this year’s Mayor’s Excellence Award, which honor individuals, businesses, and organizations that demonstrate outstanding service, leadership, and commitment to strengthening Winchester’s community. 

The Mayor’s Excellence Award celebrates those who go above and beyond to make a meaningful difference in the city through volunteer work and community impact, and we are proud to recognize this year’s winners! 

Organization – Rotary Club of Winchester

For decades, the Club has exemplified civic leadership through dedicated volunteerism, charitable initiatives, and community projects. As a hub for local leaders and engaged citizens, the Rotary Club organizes programs supporting education, health, youth development, and community infrastructure, while fostering collaboration, service, and ethical leadership. Their members consistently devote time, resources, and expertise to address pressing community needs—from scholarships and mentorship programs to neighborhood-strengthening service projects. Through their sustained commitment to service above self, the Rotary Club of Winchester has become a cornerstone of civic engagement and a model of community excellence.

Business – Winchester Brew Works

Co-owners Bonnie Landy and Holly Redding have done more than run a successful brewery—they’ve created a welcoming community hub that brings people together, supports local initiatives, and strengthens Winchester’s cultural and entrepreneurial spirit. Recognized for their outstanding contributions to the community and dedication to promoting local business, Landy and Redding have become pillars of Winchester’s vibrant cultural and business scene.

The Mayor’s Excellence Award celebrates their creativity, leadership, and tireless efforts to make Winchester a stronger, more connected, and more vibrant city. This honor reflects not only their business success but also their deep commitment to the people of Winchester.

Individual – Jeff Taylor

Taylor has been recognized for his extraordinary ability to capture inspiring, uplifting, and positive stories through his photography—images that bring hope, joy, and connection to the community when such stories are especially needed. Through his lens, he consistently showcases the heart of Winchester, celebrating local people, events, and moments of everyday greatness. His work not only documents the city but also uplifts the spirit of its residents, embodying creativity, compassion, and community pride.
