Winchester City Council dissolves Winchester Parking Authority

City Council unanimously approved the dissolution of the Winchester Parking Authority on December 9, which had been responsible for managing paid street and public auto-park parking in the downtown area. Moving forward, the City will directly manage downtown Winchester parking issues via the City’s Winchester Parking Division.

This administrative change should not impact the parking experience of community members and visitors, as no changes to downtown parking operations will be made. All City parking regulations and fees will remain the same, per Winchester’s City Code, and parking facilities will be cleaned, maintained, and operated daily per existing procedures.
